Meeting Location

Eastside Republican Club monthly meetings are held at the Kirkland Eagles club, 258 Central Way, Kirkland. The club has a full bar and serves meals; click here to see the menu. Tuesdays are Taco Night!
Driving Directions – Take I-405 to NE 85th Street in Kirkland (exit 18). Head west on NE 85th Street toward downtown Kirkland. At 6th Street, 85th Street becomes Central Way; continue west. The Kirkland Eagles club is on the right, 1.0 miles west of I-405. Look for the “FOE” (Fraternal Order of Eagles) sign just past 3rd Street. See below for parking information. The easiest entry to use is at the back of the building, where there’s a ramp. You can also enter on Central Way, but there are a few steps once you get inside, and you need to ring the doorbell beside the door to be admitted. The Eagles prefer we use the back door so they don’t have to answer the front door; thanks!
Please note that Eagles clubs are private clubs, and non-members must be accompanied by an Eagles member to enter. Guests who are not Eagles members will be asked to sign in on an Eagles guest list at the ERC check-in table. Several ERC board members are Eagles, and so all attendees of ERC meetings are accompanied by an Eagles member. But if you arrive very early (before 6PM), you might arrive before any of the board members who are Eagles, and won’t be able to enter. Please be patient and we’ll get there soon! You may also be asked to show that you signed in for you to be able to buy alcoholic beverages at the bar; this is to protect the Eagles Club’s status as a private club. Thanks for your understanding.

Parking Information – A few parking spaces are available behind the Eagles building, and also a few on Central Way right in front. Parking is available in several other locations within a block or two. A city guide to other parking locations is available here (PDF file). The map below is copied from that guide. Free on-street parking is available on Central Way, Main Street, and Park Lane. Ample free parking is available in the Peter Kirk Municipal Garage, a block south under the Kirkland Library (a quick walk through the transit center), and at Kirkland City Hall (but it’s a fairly steep climb between Central Way and 3rd Avenue on 2nd Street). Parking at the city lot at Central Way and Lake Street is $1 per hour. Private pay parking is available across the street from the Eagles at Eastside Trains and US Bank, and also at Voda Apartments (one block south at Park Lane at Main Street). It’s usually not hard to find parking on a weeknight.
