Jane Jin

Jane Jin, also known as Jin Yang, is a survivor of the Tiananmen Square Massacre and a former Japanese language interpreter for the People’s Liberation Army’s propaganda apparatus — a background that gives her activism against the Chinese Communist Party unmatched moral authority and firsthand insight. As a young woman working inside the PLA’s political messaging system, she witnessed the inner machinery of state control, censorship, and psychological manipulation. Her life changed irrevocably in 1989, when she survived the Tiananmen Square Massacre — an experience that exposed the full brutality of the regime and set her on a lifelong path of truth telling. After escaping China, Jane transformed her trauma into purpose, becoming a fearless advocate who exposes CCP human rights abuses, educates Western audiences about authoritarian influence operations, and amplifies the voices of those silenced behind the Great Firewall. Her work is defined by moral clarity, personal courage, and an unwavering commitment to freedom.

Save the Date for the Annual ERC Picnic!

Please update your calendar with the new date of our annual picnic with the candidates. Unfortunately, all the picnic facilities were booked for our usual second-Tuesday meeting night, so we had to change the date of the picnic this year to Wednesday, July 15th. We will be at Perrigo Park Picnic Shelter and the east side of Redmond, at 9011 196th Ave NE. King County GOP Chair Jolie Lansdowne will be emceeing the picnic, and there will be raffles for great prizes. The club will provide the hamburgers and hotdogs (with a vegan option as well) and the condiments. We are encouraging everyone to bring either a side or a dessert. More information will be posted and registration for the picnic opened after the June meeting.
